Can you help me with entry-level dSLR comparisons?
It depends too much on your needs before deciding which device is best for you. Some cameras that you mentioned are intended video recording that advanced users may find useful. But here's a quick comparison between the shooters that you specified. The D3000 Nikon and Canon EOS 1000D Bonny have similar specifications, so you will not compromise a lot if you go with either.
As for the D5000 Nikon and Canon EOS 500D, the former has a tilting LCD screen which is handy for disbursement plans or waist level. However, the EOS 500D records 1080p video quality while the Nikon is only 720p.So if you necessitate higher quality footage, you should go for the Canon.
Regarding the Nikon D60 and Canon EOS 450D, they are abandoned and have since been replaced by the D5000 and EOS 500D, severally.
If you just need a basic no-frills snapper, then either the D3000 or EOS 1000D should be just okay. But if you want to make videos with your digital SLR, the EOS 500D and D5000 are candidates. But you have to make a choice that you want exemplar based on the comparison I have given you above. In the meantime, you can read reviews of cameras that you mentioned the links below.
