Barre 4-H member a big winner in fair photo competition

August 1 - Chloe Modawell does not have the camera directly or focus on taking pictures of his friends.

At 11 years, the budding photographer has developed a period that has to find better setting angles and unusual photos.

"I just started caring photos. I like that," said Modawell, which will be in sixth grade in the fall at West Salem mid-point of the school.

Her parents say she does not like being told what to photograph.

Modawell, a member of the Bar Bader 4-H club, out of his comfort zone for the La Crosse Interstate Fair. She entered 24 photos in 4-H is working with 11 of them earn the first place. Among them, we advance to the State Fair in 2011 and four were awarded merits, which means they have been considered for promotion. Its existing photos scored seven second places, three third places and three fourth places.
